Customers View of Online Banking

There are two important criteria customers think about when online banking and they are: - Is this kind of banking secure? Is the website easy to use? Is it Secure? Many banks have upgraded their security over the last 12 months. Some have extra encryption in place so that the customer can be sure of the site being genuine. With some bank websites, the address bar will turn green, thus assuring the customer that the site they are on is genuine and not something put up by a scam artist. Others have lengthened the number required for customers codes from say, 4 digits to twelve or more, this making it more difficult for hackers to break. Still others offer a handheld device that generates a new code each time the customers accesses his account. While it may take a little longer to log in, customers do not mind if they have extra peace of mind over their security. Is the Website Easy to Use? Since online banking is becoming more and more popular, customers want an interface that is easy and quick to use. Those who are new to this technology especially if they are older and find the computer something of a mystery will particularly appreciate a website with not only clear instructions, but where everything is to hand rather than tucked away under some mysterious term they have never heard of. Larger type that is clear to see is another plus for those with less than perfect eyesight. In some cases the print is really small and it is on a background that makes it difficult to see as well. By all means make it look professional, but part of that professionalism is surely customer service e.g. ease of use.
